April 2014 – October 2014
As Auckland Castle opened its doors to visitors, Daisy Arts was commissioned to programme a series of events for holiday weekends throughout part of 2014. Beginning the Easter weekend, the series launched with a lunchtime concert and a number of craft activities such as bow and arrows, flower posies, gargoyles, harp workshops and animation… to name just a few of the activities offered. The programme came to an end in late October with the first All Hallows’ walk event performed to over 200 people by local youngsters from Jackass Youth Theatre in Crook, Gobsprites in Wolsingham and W.A.S.H. Youth Theatre in Bishop Auckland, the night ending with spectacular drumming from a skeletal dressed Runaway Samba!
